Production Supervisor
That’s good news! We are looking for a Production Supervisor capable of mobilizing, supporting, and leading Berger’s production and packaging teams located in Watsonville, California. As a Production Supervisor, you will have to established objectives while maintaining and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. In this new role, you will supervise production and packaging activities, in addition to supporting plant and rolling equipment maintenance. The position allows you to gain more experience, consolidate your leadership skills and become an asset to the Berger management team.
JOB SUMMARY:
• Lead the Watsonville production and packaging teams and conduct regular meetings with employees;
• Work closely with the team leaders who manage production and packaging operations;
• Perform regular daily plant tours and inspections;
• Oversee and ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental standards;
• Monitor KPIs with your team and advance the continuous improvement processes;
• Analyzes production costs and recommends production and packaging improvements;
• Ensures inventory of raw materials is adequate to support planned production;
• Communicate effectively with the maintenance team for all rolling stock and plant equipment maintenance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish;
• Hold a degree (or possess equivalent experience) in a relevant field;
• Have 3 to 5 years of staff management experience;
• Experience in materials production with 3 to 5 years of experience in similar functions;
• Experience in preventive maintenance of the equipment (an asset);
• Knowledge of principles, processes, and implementation of lean manufacturing;
• Good interpersonal skills.
