- Perform detailed HVDC and FACTS studies and apply them to complex power systems
- Work with clients, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Guide, mentor and train junior engineers in HVDC/FACTS technologies
- Represent BBA in technical committees and industry working groups
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities
- Prepare and review reports, specifications, proposals and estimates

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering
- P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration
- At least 10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in HVDC/FACTS
- Expertise in HVDC/FACTS studies and related codes and standards
- Expert PSCAD user
- Proficient in PSSE
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to travel within Canada, the USA and internationally for short-term assignments
- Project management knowledge (scoping, planning, estimating)
- Familiarity with electrical protection and control systems
- Knowledge of IEEE, NEC or IEC standards
- Knowledgeable in real-time simulation
