We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic Hamilton team and contribute to our continued growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team, Equipment, and Facilities Management
- Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Act as a leader in health and safety, implement programs and lead the maintenance team to adopt safer behaviours.
- Mentor team members to develop their maintenance expertise.
- Ensure the implementation and continued use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure the availability of parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate the interventions of external suppliers and contractors.
- Participate in the analysis of failures and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage the forklift fleet, building, and grounds.
Inventory and supply management
- Control stocks of chemicals and maintenance parts.
- Analyze supply needs and ensure availability.
- Participate in the optimization of inventory processes and the supply chain.
- Produce inventory monitoring and analysis reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures during storage and handling.
Procurement
- Identify and source suppliers. Negotiate the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Execute purchasing activities within delegated authority limits.
- Create and track purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and ensure proper verification of received goods.
Qualifications
Education and experience
- Certificate or diploma in industrial maintenance, facilities management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience in supervising staff.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes and industrial equipment.
- Asset: Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
