  • Schedule: Weekdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Signing bonus:$5,000
  • Compensation based on years of experience:$35 to $58 per hour

Main Role

Provide immediate post-anesthesia monitoring and care to patients leaving the operating room, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery optimal.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in the recovery room after surgery.
  • Monitor vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, oxygen saturation.
  • Manage postoperative pain according to protocols (IV, PCA, epidural).
  • Detect and intervene quickly in case of complications (bleeding, respiratory distress, nausea, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and surgeons.
  • Document all observations and interventions in the patient's file.
  • Ensure clear communication with families and the healthcare team.
  • Prepare and maintain monitoring equipment and medical equipment.
  • Comply with hygiene and safety protocols. and quality.
Requirements
  • College Diploma (DEC) in nursing or equivalent.
  • Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Experience in post-operative care or intensive care (asset).
  • Good stress management and ability to react in emergency situations.
  • Interpersonal skills and empathy.
  • Availability to work flexible hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
  • Knowledge of medical protocols and monitoring equipment.
