Your Role on the Team
As a Solution Architect – SAP Human Resources and Payroll, you will be responsible for analyzing business needs related to HR and payroll processes and leading the evolution of SAP solutions in alignment with the strategic directions set by Metro’s Information Systems leadership. You’ll act as a key resource for stakeholders and ensure alignment of technological HR processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and deploy SAP solutions for HR, payroll, and time management, including talent management and recruitment processes.

Serve as a subject matter expert and, when needed, as a trainer for the SAP HR competency center.

Ensure integration of SAP HR modules with other corporate systems (e.g., Teams, Kronos, etc.).

Analyze evolving business needs and recommend improvements in line with business goals.

Monitor market trends and system capabilities to ensure alignment with specific business requirements.

Collaborate on solution architecture and analysis, and maintain up-to-date documentation of system evolutions.
-
Participate in defining deployment, communication, and implementation strategies.
-
Support ad hoc projects and change requests through to go-live, including user acceptance testing and post-implementation support.

Oversee quality control activities: coordinate testing, prepare test plans, guide participants, and validate documentation.
-
Provide expert support in system configuration and advanced reporting.
-
Contribute to process reengineering and continuous improvement of HR practices.
-
Ensure consistency of processes and data across multiple systems, in compliance with existing policies and procedures.

Collaborate with IT application development directors, business unit users, other IT teams, and external consultants.
What We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
-
7–10 years of experience as a business analyst for SAP HR processes
-
Functional knowledge of at least 3 of the following areas:
-
PA: Personal data
-
PA-BEN: Compensation management
-
PA-EMP: Employee management
-
PA-PAY: Payroll
-
PA-TIM: Time tracking
-
PD-OM: Organizational structure management
-
-
Experience in configuring one or more SAP HR modules
-
Knowledge of SAP HR integration with other ecosystem solutions
-
Bilingual (French and English) – this role requires collaboration with English-speaking colleagues
-
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
-
Willingness to travel occasionally to Metro sites (Terrebonne, Montreal, Varennes)
