NexWav, a company specialized in health and social services, is seeking a pharmacy technical assistant ready to take on new challenges in the northern regions. This position offers the opportunity to work in an exceptional environment, serving remote communities while experiencing a rewarding human adventure.
Your main responsibilities:
- Prescription preparation: Prepare prescriptions according to medical orders, under the supervision of the pharmacist, including measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging medications.
- Customer service: Welcome patients, answer their questions about medications, and direct complex requests to the pharmacist.
- Inventory management: Ensure adequate supply of medications and other pharmaceutical products by placing necessary orders.
- Quality control: Monitor expiration dates of products and remove those that are no longer compliant.
- Record management: Keep patient records up to date, including prescription and treatment history.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and colleagues to ensure service meets quality and safety standards.
What we are looking for:
- DEP in pharmacy technical assistance.
- Practical experience in pharmacy (an asset) and certification in medication management.
- Good command of English.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure prescription accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical management software.
- Ability to handle pressure in fast-paced environments.
