STATUS: Permanent

JOB POSTING NUMBER: 1114

POSTING PERIOD: From August 11 to 24, 2025

SALARY:

  • Class 5 – $78,159.53 to $97,700.07 / year
  • Winter availability bonus and occasionally during summer (continues to be paid even if called to work);
  • Evening, night, and weekend bonus;
  • Overtime: paid at regular rate.

SCHEDULE: 40.00 hours per week, Day, night, or weekend

WORK MODE: In-person

The challenges that await you

As a public works supervisor, you will organize, control, and supervise operations related to:

  • roadways;
  • sewer and aqueduct networks;
  • snow removal;
  • spreading;
  • asphalting;
  • horticulture;
  • maintenance and installation of playground equipment.

This is to ensure optimal use of the resources at your disposal, effectively maintain the geographical area assigned to you, and ensure proper handling of citizen requests.

Additionally, you will assist your superior in managing the activities under their responsibility and oversee the resources, including personnel, for which you are responsible in accordance with the allocated budget and the orientations, objectives, directives, and instructions of your superior and the service management. Finally, you will produce reports on the management of the resources assigned to you and the activities for which you are responsible in order to submit relevant recommendations.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or a college certificate (AEC) in urban infrastructure foreman or team supervision;
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience, including personnel management;
  • Experience in managing unionized personnel is an asset;
  • Must possess safety training for construction sites (SST);
  • Class 5 driver's license.
