Under the wastewater treatment division head, you are responsible for planning various works and operations related to your department's mandate. In this capacity, you plan, analyze, and control maintenance and updating programs for the infrastructure and operations of your department's assets, ensuring that the personnel assigned to operations can perform their work effectively, efficiently, and adequately, while respecting the operational needs and budget of each division. You ensure the follow-up and technical and administrative coordination of various programs within your area of expertise.
You act as a super user in computer-assisted maintenance management (CAMM). You coordinate activities related to the implementation and updating of methodologies, processes, and tools, as well as the development, dissemination, and application of best practices in asset maintenance within your area of activities. You develop, implement, and communicate performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and quality of maintenance programs, operations, and the distribution and use of equipment.
In this capacity, you ensure the smooth running of programs to achieve the performance and quality objectives set by management while considering the strategic planning of the Service.
More specifically, you will be called to:
- Review existing programs and practices, standardize and structure the maintenance process in accordance with the Service's strategy. You will identify gaps between the set objectives and the results obtained and submit recommendations, particularly regarding the optimization of preventive, normative, and corrective maintenance work.
- Conduct strategic monitoring and stay informed of all information and working methods that could improve the Service's activities as well as the various maintenance programs and operations. You will formulate appropriate recommendations regarding the impacts and necessary changes.
- Ensure, with the operations managers, the technical and administrative coordination of various maintenance interventions and operations, as well as the adequate distribution of your department's equipment.
- Assist your supervisor in establishing the orientations, objectives, and maintenance programs of the Service based on your area of expertise. You will participate in assessing the human, material, and financial resource needs of the division and make recommendations to your supervisor.
*Please note that according to the collective agreement, this position is titled Planner
- Education acquired through a bachelor's degree in operations management and logistics or in another relevant field;
- Possess six (6) years of relevant work experience for the position;
- Maintenance of sanitary pumps;
- Preventive maintenance of sanitary and stormwater pumping stations;
- Planning and estimating work;
- Possess a class 5 driver's license and a vehicle;
- Hold an ASP card.
