Senior Director – Quality Control – CPA

A very attractive, people-oriented, lean, and well-structured CPA firm is seeking a Senior Director – Quality Control to join its team.

THE ROLE

As Senior Director – Quality Control, you will act as an expert advisor to partners and teams and play a central role in maintaining and developing the firm's professional standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that engagements comply with professional, regulatory, and firm policy standards;
  • Overseeing and developing thequality management system;
  • Developing and maintaining file templates, tools, and Work methodologies;
  • Act as a resource person for teams regarding certification, accounting, and ethics;
  • Coordinate inspections by the CPA Order and ensure follow-up on recommendations;
  • Design and deliver technical training to support skills development;
  • Act as a mentor and actively contribute to the development of the next generation of CPAs;
  • Collaborate with partners on the continuous improvement of practices and the maintenance of the highest quality standards.

THE DESIRED PROFILE

  • CPA Auditor;
  • 10+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, including several years in assurance;
  • Solid expertise in professional standards, compliance, and assurance practices;
  • Strong interest in quality control, continuous improvement, and knowledge transfer;
  • Excellent professional judgment and ability to analyze complex files;
  • Ability to formulate clear recommendations and support teams in their implementation;
  • Excellent communication, training, mentoring, and collaboration skills;
  • Rigorous, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
